For you members of the Haiku Society of America who receive their Frogpond literary journal, I so encourage you to spend some time with a review in latest issue of his extraordinary recent book Teaching and Learning Haiku in English, one of the most educational and seminal treatises on how the form can be employed in countless instrumental ways, from understanding/bridging cultures and fostering solidarity, to supporting commercial ventures, and catalyzing important social and environmental changes!! Definitely a seminal, essential work for serious haiku scholars to add to their libraries...
