Enormous gratitude to Setu's EIC Sunag Sharma in Pittsburg & English Editor Dr. Sunil Sharma in Toronto for sharing my three translations from Swedish to English of these classic poems by important Scandinavian writer, composer & statesman Gunnar Wennerberg! This edition also contains stunning work in motion from Hindi and Albanian into English, highly worth investigating and appreciating! Wennerberg was a great admirer of the landscape and art of Italy, elsewhere in his collection he has a striking piece about Venice and here describes memorably the art of hawking statuary, which can transport customers back to its source quite instantly. Ironically or appropriately, this highly beloved and significant writer, musician, and politician later found himself captured in three dimensions for posterity, both in his native Uppsala and Minneapolis where so many Swedes with the walking blues later migrated! English Editor Sharma does a beautiful job in this September issue's editorial of describing Setu's continued mission to (among other lofty objectives) support efforts in translation and linguistic alchemy across cultures and spaces...
